ZSGO is a highly anticipated zombie survival game that promises an engaging and immersive gameplay experience. In this development blog, we’re excited to share some of the latest updates from our talented level designers, Erik and Gibby. Soon we will have some exciting updates from our lead developer Jest, who has been working hard on our FPS controller. The team over the past few weeks have been working tirelessly to create dynamic and thrilling environments for players to explore.
FArm: A Great Place To Hide
This new Point of Interest (POI) in ZSGO is set in a sprawling farm that’s filled with fields, barns, and other structures. Players will have to scavenge for resources like food and water and find shelter and rest in the various buildings on the farm. The farmoffers players plenty of space to explore and scavenge, with large open fields and several smaller buildings like a barn, a shed, and a workshop.
Mall: A Bustling Hub of Activity
One of the points of interest in ZSGO is a bustling mall that’s filled with shops, restaurants, and other amenities. The point of interest is designed to provide players with ample opportunities to scavenge for supplies and weapons, find shelter, and rest.
One of the key features of the mall is the large, open-air atrium that offers a safe haven for players to regroup and strategize. The atrium is surrounded by another floor of stores, which players can explore to find valuable items and supplies.
Trailer Park:A Cluttered and Dense Environment
The trailer park point of interest in ZSGO is set in a cluttered and dense environment, with narrow streets and tight corners. Players will have to navigate carefully through the tight spaces and avoid being caught in the open. The park offers plenty of opportunities for stealthy gameplay, with small, cramped spaces that players can use to hide. Players will need to be on the lookout for traps and other hazards in this POI.
Nuclear Waste Power Plant
The nuclear waste power plant point of interest in ZSGO is a contaminated environment filled with radiation and other hazards. Players will need to be careful as they navigate through the tight corridors and machinery of the power plant, as even a single misstep could be deadly. This plant offers intense and high-stakes gameplay, with players needing to be on constant alert for dangers like radiation and hazardous materials.
The points of interest in ZSGO are designed to provide players with a thrilling and immersive experience. From the bustling mall to the sprawling farm, the cluttered trailer park to the treacherous nuclear waste power plant, each point of interest offers unique challenges and opportunities. We hope you’ve enjoyed this sneak peek into what Erik and Gibby have been working on. Stay tuned for more updates on the progress of ZSGO!
Ever since I built my first PC to play custom zombie maps on 'Call of Duty: World at War,' I knew PC gaming would be a huge part of my life. My passion for zombies didn't just stop there—I grew up playing iconic games on my PlayStation 2 and 3, like 'Resident Evil 5,' 'Dead Rising,' 'The Walking Dead,' 'Fallout,' 'Bioshock,' and the 'Sly' series. However, once I switched to PC, there was no looking back; my PlayStations found their way into storage, and my heart stayed with PC gaming.
My love for survival games deepened with 'Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead’s DayZ' mod, where fate had me meet Dev Ear and Dev SuperPoggers atop the triple yellow in Cherno. A simple meetup on TeamSpeak turned into a lifelong friendship. We've traveled across states—from California to Florida—bonding over countless survival games like 'Rust Legacy' and 'WarZ.' Our adventures led us to run our own Rust servers and Minecraft communities, even tinkering with game development tools like Unity and Unreal Engine.
Our shared dreams and dedication have culminated in the creation of ZSGO, our ultimate zombie survival game. Bringing our collective expertise and creativity to the table, we're committed to crafting an unforgettable gaming experience that stands out in the survival genre.
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet!
a lot more to come :)
